- Candela suggests Intel Pro/1000 and Intel 10 Gbps chipset ethernet adapters
for most configurations. In most cases, there is no additional cost
for the ethernet hardware. The purchase of a chassis and software
licenses include the cost of the NICs. In certain cases, such as

The system includes a 1 GHz VIA CPU, 1 GB RAM, 2 GB Compact
Flash disk for the hard-drive, and 4 10/100 ethernet interfaces.
The system is powered by an external DC power supply brick
(included). The unit has a serial console for initial configuration,
and it is expected that the user will install the LANforge-GUI on
their own laptop or desktop to manage the LANforge system. It
is possible to manage the system over the serial console using the
Command Line Interface if required.
The operating system is based on Fedora 8 Linux for easy configuration.
The LF0200 is perfect for LANforge-ICE WAN emulations up to 80 Mbps,
and 2 ports of traffic generation at up to 65 Mbps (full duplex). The
system supports other features such as VoIP as well.

- LF0210 Mid-Range 5-port Appliance
- The LF0210 is a small appliance with two quiet fans. Its
dimensions are 9.9 x 1.7 x 6.6 inches and it weighs 2.6 pounds.
The system includes a 2 GHz Intel Pentium M Non-HT CPU, 2 GB RAM, and 2.5"
hard-drive, four 10/100/1000 ethernet interfaces and one 10/100 management interface.
The system is powered by an external DC power supply brick
(included). If required, the unit has a serial console for initial configuration,
and it is expected that the user will install the LANforge GUI on
their own laptop or desktop to manage the LANforge system. Alternatively, the system
is able to support remote desktop. It is possible to manage the system over the serial console using the
Command Line Interface if required.

The LF0210 is perfect for LANforge ICE WAN emulations up to 500 Mbps,
and also traffic generation at up to 700 Mbps (full duplex) on two ports. The

- LF0300 Dual-Core 1 Gbps class Appliance
- The LF0300 is a relatively small appliance with a single, quiet fan
and server class performance through a PCIe x16 slot. Its
dimensions are 8.5 x 9.5 x 4 inches, and it weighs about 10 pounds.
The system includes an Intel Core Duo 2.0 GHz CPU, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB laptop
hard-drive or solid state drive, two built-in 10/100/1000 ethernet interfaces and one PCI-e slot
that can accommodate a 1, 2, 4 or 6 port 10/100/1000 NIC or a dual 10 Gigabit NIC.
The system can be configured with a Compact Flash drive instead
of the laptop hard-drive if the customer prefers.

(included), and can also run off of a range of other DC voltages.
The unit supports VGA and keyboard/mouse for initial configuration,
and the user may also manage the system remotely using the LANforge GUI.

The LF0300 is perfect for gigabit LANforge-ICE WAN emulations
and up to 6 ports of traffic generation. Total throughput of the system backplane

licenses may apply. VoIP connections can be made simultaneously with other
LANforge-FIRE traffic generation protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP and FTP. At least
one SW1000 or SW1001 license will be needed for each LANforge machine running VoIP/RTP.
- SW1003 LANforge-FIRE Voice Quality PESQ Server License
- A PESQ Server License is required for each machine on which you wish to run a PESQ
server. A single Voice Quality PESQ server can be used by any number of LANforge
machines, but in general it cannot handle more than about 15 active calls requesting
PESQ services at any given time (this is due to hardware limitations). The PESQ
server generates additional data to the PESQ score including MOS-LQO.
- SW1005 LANforge-FIRE: Armageddon Software-only License (100 Mbps)
- This license is for use with 10/100 (100 Mbps) or slower speed interfaces. If you
wish to utilize the Armageddon accelerated traffic generation feature, you must

- SW1020 LANforge-ICE WanPath Software-only License
- WanPaths are virtual paths you can set up in LANforge-ICE WanLinks to
further constrain traffic between individual machines or subnets. WanPaths
can match based on IP addresses (and subnets) or MAC addresses.
- SW1030 LANforge-ICE T1 WanLink Software-only License
- T1 WanLinks are used to provide a T1 impairment device. Current supported
impairments include configurable latency, X per billion bit-flips and X per
billion bit-transposes. Specific T1 hardware, available from Candela
